Built for Collectors.
By Collectors.
We started because we had boxes of well-loved cards from our childhoods — collections that deserved a second life. What began as a personal restoration project became a mission to bring professional-grade card care to collectors across Canada.
Like a lot of collectors, we came back to the hobby as adults and pulled out boxes we hadn’t touched in decades. Childhood collections — Pokémon, hockey, baseball, basketball — cards that had been flipped through thousands of times, traded at school, stored in shoeboxes, and loved in exactly the way kids love things. Hard.
Those cards weren’t pristine. They had fingerprints, dull surfaces, edge wear, and the kind of grime that builds up over twenty years in a closet. But underneath all of that was something worth saving. The art was still there. The memories were still there. And with the right products and a little patience, so was the card.
That’s what Northern Card Care was built around: the idea that a well-loved card from your childhood deserves a second life. Not every card can be fully restored, and we’re honest about that. But a lot more can be improved than most collectors realize — and the process of doing it is part of what makes the hobby so rewarding.
We became the official Canadian distributor of Kurt’s Card Care products because we’d seen firsthand what they could do. The formula worked on our own collections, and we wanted to make it accessible to Canadian collectors without the cross-border shipping headaches, customs fees, and USD pricing that had been a barrier for years.
Northern Card Care carries the full Kurt’s Card Care lineup — Card Spray, Card Polish, and Recovery — along with accessories. Every product has been tested across vintage paper cards, modern plastic-finish cards, and TCG cards before we put it in front of a customer.
We’ve also built out a library of free educational resources — tips pages, best practices guides, and an FAQ — so that every collector who buys from us knows exactly how to use what they’ve purchased. The product is only part of the result. The technique matters just as much.
